I am Bonnie Gaerte's daughter (she works with Jeen at Wimpole Street), and I've babysat McKenna a few times when Jenny was working or visiting you at the hospital. I've know Bryce since he was in t-ball. When I learned of your illness a week ago I sat down and read until I'd caught up. Now I'm checking at least 1-2 times per day for updates. You are in my prayers and when I get to the temple on Tuesday (I'm an ordinance worker) I'll put your name in. I'm sure the extra prayers will be helpful.

I'm a friend of Denise and Rick Nydegger. She shared your story with me because I had (breast) cancer 9 years ago.
I've gone on your site numerous times and - perhaps not the best expression here - I love it. I'm so touched by your words, story-telling and ability to put things in such a meaningful perspective that even those of us who don't know you or Bryce can feel the experience and want so much to help take it all away.
I feel privileged to have been a bit of an intruder in this process and to have had the joy of praying for you and your families.

I hail from Utah and find so much good in this blog. People from across the world are uniting in a common cause of love and good will and belief and faith that one person will be healed in the face of extreme odds. It's past 2:00 am in the morning. I've come to know a trend in Tammy's timing. Can't sleep: check for an update.

Sometimes the visits during the day are filled with bouncing baby's, visits from home health, the oxygen man, hungry family, visitors and lots of phone calls.
I've seen Tammy roust Bryce from a mild sleep to read another comment. He smiles, sometimes going right back to sleep. Bryce seems filled with determination, still a sense of humor and requests from us for happiness and a positive attitude. Bryce and Tammy's favorite doctors, Tammy's Dad Dan at the top of the list, are fighting just like they are. They are risking and streching with the love of a true samaratins.

Family and friends from the neighborhood, work, high school, friends of friends and strangers becoming friends all add support and a lift when life becomes overwhelming (we all have our moments).

Tammy is a rock, Bryce has love for each of you and they really are partners in this fight. As Bryce's mom, I am supported by Tammy's strength, Bryce's faith and determnation to fight and all of you who care, pray and live with them through this nightmare.

Bryce and Tammy are lucky to have almost all of their immediate family and many special friends within miles from their home. The rest of you are close through your comments. So many have put their lives on hold at difficut times to help in so many ways. Thank you for caring for this precious family and sharing your acts of kindness and words of encouragement. There is a silver lining in the worst of storms.

I am following your story from your first post on the MPIP site. My 26 year old son is fighting to be in the 1% too. He has a 1 year old son.

I have thought that Bryce and his dad were two of the best people that I had ever met through my Mrs. Fields and TCBY experience. I was lucky enough to meet with them when I ordered equipment for adding cookies to my TCBY shop. It was easy to see that they were surrounded by more than employees, the entire staff was like family. My time with Bryce was only one meeting and a dozen phone calls but it was enough for me to realize what a quality man he was. I check the site daily and continue to pray for him and his family.

Bryce and Tammy, Thanks for your updates, we look daily. Some good news and hope, the other day I was watching TV and came across a show about a man who had cancer all throughout his body. This man had cancer when he was young and he is now around 80. He went through treatments and of course there was far less you could do in those days. One day he went in for his appointment and the cancer was completely gone, he had experienced what they call spontaneous remission. Miracles do happen and I believe. Bryce you are a warrior and we believe in you. Lots of love, you are in all our prayers. Rex, Laurie, Beau, Mikail, and Cole.

I feel blessed to know both of you! One of the kids on our unit (I am pediatric critical care nurse), saw me looking at your blog the other night. As my Dad shared with the family your situation and challenges and as we prayed for you, tears came to the eyes of each of us. You are loved and we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and gathering there again with each of you. We are aware of the challenge this is for the entire family and we find ourselves at a loss as how make a difference, so we pray. Finding the up side in this, we are praying more earnestly, valuing each new day and are striving to be more gentle and loving with one another. My husband, Jeff, worked in Salt Lake City with Tammy at Allosource until a month ago when we transferred to the office in Cincinnati. A favorite book of mine is "365 Affirmations for Hopeful Living," by Patricia D. Brown...Brown? Maybe it's a relative? Anyway...may you find comfort in the following meditation:

I seek and find rest for my soul. When I grow weary of the difficulties of life and feel my burdens are too heavy for me to go on, I know I can turn to Jesus, who will give me the rest and assurance I need. I am in touch with what I need to make it through the day. My soul's desires matter, and I am not afraid to express what I want.

As a child, I thought I had to do it all by myself, keeping my worries inside. I feared that if I disclosed myself to others they would not respond--or, worse, they would say no.

Today, I take the risk, realizing what I need and asking for it. The response may be different from what I expect, but the price is too high when I don't ask. In prayer, I take the opportunity to discover and ask for what I need to lighten my burden, ease my weariness, and find my rest.

My mind is at rest, knowing that I have a Savior who eases my burdens.

I don't think you even realize how many live's you are touching.What an amazing example of strenght but most of all love. Thank you for your words of love and tender mercies for everyone you have come in contact with. She called me when she got home and shuttered because she had "fakebaked" the morning before they left. She has promised no more "fakebake" she is a painted girl from here on out.
